Novel signalling pathways controlling amino acid metabolism

Description
Two key pathways controlling amino acid homeostasis are the cellular sensors mTOR and GCN2 but these cannot be the only ones. Here using cell based Crispr-Cas9 screens as well as proteomics we aim to discover novel signalling pathways controlling amino acid homeostasis. Whatever we discover has implications for basic metabolic biology as well as diseases such as diabetes and cancer.
