Improving Clinical Decision Support Systems for Deteriorating Emergency Department Patients

Description
Hospital incident review committees accept that it is easy to predict avoidable patient harm with the benefit of hindsight. Imagine if bedside clinicians could benefit from this same understanding and use it in real-time to avoid risk to their patients. With emergency clinicians and consumers, this project will create a Clinical Decision Support System with excellent predictive accuracy for predicting patients at risk of harm, that patients and emergency clinicians can rely upon, find helpful and want to use.
