Description
One in three women around the world are estimated to have experienced intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence, two of the most common forms of gender-based violence (GBV). Despite a large growth in evidence on violence against women and girls (VAWG) over the last few decades, VAWG persists, as do gaps in the field’s knowledge of how to prevent and respond to it.
This project is nestled in the Australian Research Council's Centre of Excellence for Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW). This particular project aims at understanding the prevalence, nature (forms) and determinants (risk factors) of VAWG in one or more more of the following locations: Fiji, Indonesia or Vietnam.
In this project, the student will be involved in conducting systematic literature reviews, co-designing of surveys to understand the prevalence, nature and determinants of VAWG. The student could also be involved in publishing manuscripts of the reviews, co-design process of the survey and the results from the implementation of the survey.
