Description
There have been changes in menopause awareness, attitudes to MHT, treatment of female sexual dysfunction, and the impact of COVID-19. A health survey to understand the contemporary physical and psychosocial well-being of Australian midlife women is needed. Reference ranges for sex hormones in midlife women are lacking.
The PhD goals are to establish a nationally representative sample of 8000 women, 40-69 years, recruited by Prof Davis and Dr Islam
The prevalence of
I. menopausal symptoms and severity;
II use of hormonal/non-hormonal menopause therapy;
III. sexual dysfunction
and
IV. Reference ranges for sex hormones by age.
