Description
The SOS is a multinational, prospective longitudinal cohort study designed to comprehensively examine the interplay between determinants of long-term outcomes in SLE, and identify potential points of intervention from among the exposures. We specifically aim to examine the predictors of, and impact of common comorbidities (serious infections, cardiovascular events and malignancies) on long-term outcomes such as irreversible organ damage accrual, mortality and health-related quality of life, relative to other exposures. Opportunities to commence Honours/PhD projects from 2024 exist.
