Evaluating the cost-effectiveness of models of care for trans youth and children

Description
This PhD will evaluate the costs and benefits of alternative models of care for trans youth and children. The project is part of a larger funded collaborative program of research working across multiple universities and collaborators. A longer-term model of the costs and benefits of outcomes associated with different models of care will be developed. The structure (e.g., a deterministic Markov type of model or a microsimulation) will be determined once service costs and outcome data are assessed. Highly heterogeneous outcomes, for example, would suggest a microsimulation will be required to more accurately capture service impacts.
