Exercise preferences of stroke survivors

Description
Exercise has been shown to reduce disability and improve fitness after stroke. Despite strong evidence exercise programs are not commonly included in stroke rehabilitation programs, and the vast majority of stroke survivors are inactive and do not regularly engage in exercise. As all of us know, just knowing what is good for us, is not enough to actually change our behaviour. For stroke survivors additional barriers to exercise are physical disabilities and safety concerns. Key drivers of exercise behaviour are motivation and personal exercise preferences. The aim of this project is to explore exercise preferences and motivation to exercise of people who had a stroke. The student will design a online questionnaire about exercise preferences and exercise motivation that will be send out to stroke survivors and carers.
