Exploring the link between cardiovascular health and dementia

Description
There is a proposed link between cardiovascular disease and dementia. This may be an important public health message to amplify to increase risk awareness, particularly in mid life individuals. However, many of the risk factors for dementia and the natural course of the disease are currently unclear. The candidate will have an opportunity to conduct systematic reviews, epidemiological data assessment (survey design and geospatial structural analysis) and/or qualitative research (interviews or focus groups). Within this research program, there is ample opportunity for the candidate to conduct independent research under the supervision of an expert research team.
