Harnessing non-coding RNA for cancer prognosis

Description
The human genome is dominated by non-protein encoding information. Indeed, the differences between humans and other animals cannot be accounted for by protein-coding genes and are instead thought to be due to regulatory differences. Much of the information-content for this is encoded and transacted by non-coding RNA. This project investigates the role that non-coding RNA play in the metastasis of triple negative breast cancer and how non-coding RNA biology can be harnessed as prognostics for cancer outcome.
