Implementing Penicillin Allergy Assessment in Pregnancy

Description
Despite the known benefits of allergy delabelling, and the demonstrated safety during pregnancy, penicillin allergy testing during pregnancy is not routinely performed in Australia. This implementation project at two large maternity centres in Melbourne will include assessment of feasibility, satisfaction, safety and effectiveness of a penicillin allergy assessment program during pregnancy. The PhD would suit candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds including infectious diseases, obstetrics, immunology, nursing, midwifery or pharmacy. The PhD would suit both full-time and part-time candidates.
