Key concepts in Developmental Biology and Stem Cells curriculum

Description
A number of universities run units or majors in the field of developmental biology, embryology or stem cells. Developmental biology encompasses and/or contributes to many disciplines, including genetics and embryology. Application of principles and concepts of developmental biology are vital in stem cell research, regenerative medicine, and cancer. However, there is no set of agreed core concepts that are taught consistently in the field of developmental biology or embryology, or stem cells. Other disciplines, such as Pharmacology, have developed foundational or core concepts, using a clear methodology of a large scale survey and text mining. This project aims to use surveys and text mining to develop candidate core concepts, which can then be refined using the Delphi method to a list of consensus core concepts.
