Description
Almost a third of Australians are directly impacted by obesity and its accompanying adverse health effects. Recently, the emergence of novel, highly effective medical therapies has brought opportunities to benefit people whose treatment options were previously limited, as well as a need to evaluate how to optimally integrate these new treatments into clinical practice alongside established interventions.
We are conducting several longitudinal clinical studies to comprehensively evaluate health outcomes of new generation obesity medications, including their efficacy, health benefits and potential risks in cohorts of patients with obesity and complex chronic diseases.
These studies would suit students with a medical degree or other clinical qualifications.
