Description
This project will examine the current state of preparedness of health care professionals and the health care infrastructure for the likely effects of climate change, especially as they affect rural populations in Australia. A key component of this effort will be to identify steps that can be taken to improve education about climate change effects at the pre-clinical and clinical levels of health care education. Students involved in this project will be exposed to a variety of both quantitative and qualitative methods, and will have the oppportunity to investigate pedagogical and social engineering strategies for improving climate change knowledge and preparation across health care disciplines.
