The prevalence of invasive procedures for Australian workers with low back pain

Description
There is growing awareness of the limited benefits and potential harms of invasive procedures (e.g., epidural injections, fusion, discectomy, spinal cord stimulators etc.) for low back pain. These procedures may be funded by workers’ compensation schemes in Australia. This project will examine the prevalence of select invasive procedures for low back pain in injured Australian workers with workers’ compensation claims.
