Description
The Melbourne Sexual Health Centre is a public sexual health service in Victoria. The clinic provides about 60,000 consultations a year. There have been very limited studies and data in Australia examining the prevalence of sexually transmitted infections and sexual practices among trans and gender-diverse people.
This project will use retrospective data that is routinely collected as part of clinical care and management to understand the prevalence of sexually transmitted infections (including HIV, gonorrhoea, syphilis and chlamydia), sexual practice (e.g. gender of partners, number of partners, condom use with regular and/or casual partner) and other practices (e.g. drug use, sex work engagement).
